Craft WorkshopOur therapeutic craft workshop and our Design and Print Studio are designed for clients who are not ready for job placements or further mainstream training. Those working in the workshop and the Studio receive a therapeutic training allowance. The craft workshop specialises in hand crafted luxury items for the home, children and celebrations. These items include greetings cards, crackers, costume jewellery and needlecraft products for Christmas and other celebrations. These are sold at our Open Days and other events. Two successful Open Days were held in November 2007 and these provided opportunities for advertising the work of the Studio and for selling Christmas products made in the workshop. Sales of these products continued at Highcliffe House until the Christmas break. Our workshop has been well attended this year and there have been few vacancies. Our social enterprise is an important part of our work and we are keen to expand it so that we can offer more places and ensure that it contributes towards the sustainability of the Charity in the longer term. We intend to seek funding for this expansion in the coming year.
