Design and print studioThe Design and Print Studio provides a supportive place for 14 clients each week. Using skills gained in the IT courses the students produce a wide range of merchandise including, books, fliers, tickets, posters, business and wedding stationery. Working to deadlines they use customer's information to design logos and create proofs. The range of products constantly increases and production of a PowerPoint presentation from photographs and text was a new addition. Working as a team and having pride in the products produced the clients improve self esteem, motivation and communication. From this supportive environment some move on to paid and voluntary work.
Our workshops, run as social enterprises are an important part of our work and we are keen to expand them so that we can offer more places and ensure that it contributes towards the sustainability of the Charity in the longer term. We intend to seek funding for this expansion in the coming year.
